JIMMY BUFFETT – EST. $600 MILLION

Jimmy Buffet rose to prominence for his music’s “island escapism” style, resulting in a global business empire. But aside from being a singer-songwriter, he is also an actor, author, and businessman, who is keen on making on investments, of course. He has different business ventures and pursuits. In 1997, he worked along with the novelist Herman Wouk to create a musical out of Wouk’s novel, Don’t Stop the Carnival, and it was a great success.

The show ran for six weeks in Miami, and Buffett even managed to release an album of songs from it. Another musical, titled Escape to Margaritaville, was made and began in May 2017 in San Diego. Buffett is also a successful writer, writing  three number one bestsellers throughout his life: his memoir, A Pirate Looks at Fifty, Tales from Margaritaville, and Where is Joe Marchant?
