Her nasal voice and thick New York accent, combined with her comedy genius made for a character that will forever have a place in our hearts. The success of The Nanny made Fran Drescher a popular star. The Nanny also won many opportunities for Drescher during its broadcast from 1993 to 1999, which gave Drescher a chance to return to television in the 2000s.

It isn’t just her voice that makes her stand out, however. Fran’s a real toughie as well. At 62 years old, she’s managed to survive uterine cancer and is still active in the business today! We wonder, what’s the secret behind her being able to write books and star in Broadway productions, whilst continuing her philanthropic work on top of it all?
